The second South seat

Isoko South II is one of two State Assembly constituencies inside Isoko South Local Government Area. The other is Isoko South I (Oleh, Emede and Irri). Both sit under the Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

This is not the council in Oleh. The chairman of Isoko South is a different office. South II is the Asaba seat for the eastern and riverine clans of the LGA — oil-host towns, fishing creeks and farm settlements that do not vote in Oleh I and II.

Public accounts of the seat, including the member’s own 2022 scorecard, treat it as six electoral wards across eight clans: Olomoro, Aviara, Igbide, Enwhe (with Okpolo), Umeh–Erowha and Uzere. Irri belongs with South I, not here.

Hon. (Dr.) Ferguson Ajirioghene Onwo of Olomoro represents Isoko South II. He was chairman of Isoko South LGA from 24 July 2002 to 24 June 2003 — the same name appears on the Isoko South chairmen table as Fegurson Onwo. In the Assembly he has served as Majority Leader.

Contemporary reports date his first Assembly mandate to the 2019 election. An older list on this site gave 2021 and placed Hon. Kenneth Ogba in 2019–2021. Both dates are shown in the table below until a sworn record settles the year.
