The first South seat

Isoko South I is one of two State Assembly constituencies inside Isoko South Local Government Area. The other is Isoko South II (Olomoro, Aviara, Igbide, Enwhe, Umeh–Erowha and Uzere). Both sit under the Isoko Federal Constituency.

This is not the council itself. The chairman in Oleh runs the LGA. South I is the Asaba seat for the western and central clans: Oleh, Emede and Irri.

Older text on this site put Olomoro, Igbide and Enwhe on South I. Those clans vote in South II. Period writing on the two seats has been consistent: South I = Irri, Oleh, Emede. Five INEC wards: Oleh I, Oleh II, Emede, Irri I, Irri II.

Member now

Hon. Bino Owhede Obowomano (also written Obowomano Bino Owhede, Bino Owhede Obuwomano) has represented Isoko South I since the 2023 election. He contested on the PDP ticket and later appeared with the state leadership after the 2025 party movement in Delta.

He is not the member for South II. That seat is Hon. Ferguson Onwo.
