OYEDE, DELTA STATE — A defining chapter in the history of Oyede Kingdom was written today as the Delta State Government officially presented the Staff of Office to His Royal Majesty Engr. Dr. Sir Goodnews Goodman Agbi, PhD (Athuaro I), formally recognizing him as the first-ever Ovie of Oyede Kingdom.
The presentation of the Staff of Office marks the final and most significant step in the kingdom’s transition from the traditional Odio-Ologbo system of leadership to the institution of the Ovie, giving official government recognition to the historic transformation.
